DAY 2 EARTH DAY
"The Earth is what we all have in common.” We at Happy Child School understand the importance of our common home, Earth. On the occasion of Earth Day, 2023 we conducted various activities to sensitise children towards Protecting, conserving, caring and loving Earth. We marked the World Earth Day with activities widespread to invoke respect, concern and action to conserve the natural resources. Moving with the theme- Invest in our planet, activities like in-campus plantation drive, Speeches, Poster and Slogan Creation were held. Students through the poetical recitation expressed their loving concern for the greener earth. Earth Day is a celebration of the earth and our environment. It is a historical event that takes place every year. On Earth Day, we made students remember how closely we are connected to the earth, as well as our responsibility to protect it. Indeed, celebrating Earth day made us realize the importance of well being of mother planet 'Earth'.
STATE LEVEL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP held at SIRSA
YAY!!! Another feather added in our school's cap! CONGRATULATIONS to HCS family .Our student Sanchi of Grade #3 has won GOLD in STATE LEVEL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP held at SIRSA !!! Rightly said..."If you have to work hard for anything, the final outcome is that much sweeter. Every ounce of sweat on the ground is another ounce of joy when the scoreboard is in your favor. There are no championship players or teams that tell reporters, “This was such an easy win.”

WELCOME BRAZILIANS Everyday is symbolic of new hopes, aspirations, and opportunities. HCIANS commenced its new academic session on a pious note .A Hawan Ceremony was conducted at HCS to seek the blessings of Almighty on the auspicious occasion of beginning of Hindus' New Year and commencement of the new academic session. The Principal, the Director, teachers along with the students prayed to God by putting the Aahutis in the sacred fire for the smooth functioning of the school which created an ambience of spirituality in the school premises. Further ,a melodious song was sung by the school choir accompanied by Mr Chirag to make our beginning the special one. The versatile dancers of the school presented beautiful dance performances which was loved and enjoyed by all.

HINDI DIWAS
💫✨The staff and students of Happy Child Senior Secondary school Sonepat, celebrated👩🎓 Hindi Diwas👨🎓 on 14 th September, 2019 in the school as a mark of acknowledgement of HINDI as the National Language. The celebrations began with the Invocation skit by the students of Grade-V followed by the beautiful Hindi Diwas Group Song . Mrs. Sunil Khatri ,a teacher of Hindi Department speaking on the occasion tried to spread the message “Hindi hamaari shaan hai; desh ka abhimaan hai.”She emphasized that we should be proud of our national language & should learn to speak in public domain without any hesitation. Later students performed street play and action song 🎤🎤which were indeed a delight to the eyes. Students of grade VI & VII mesmerized audience with their song – ‘Ham Hai Hindustani, Hindi Bhasha Hamko Pyaari hai’. The assembly began with the performance on ‘Guru Vandana’ followed by the thought and speech highlighting the contribution of teachers in a student’s life. DEBATE COMPETITION
NTER HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION 🎧🔊🔉 *“It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it” - Joseph Joubert* Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled. *An inter house debate competition* for classes IX to XII was held today. The event was held in the school MPH. The teams were well prepared and undoubtedly convinced the audience of their beliefs and views. The participants, armed with statistics and data made their arguments more emphatic with their righteous facial expressions and voice modulation. They exhibited great oratory skill. The competition was an enthralling experience for the speakers as well as the audience. *The *Best Speaker for FOR THE MOTION was *VIJETA 👩🎓of X B and AGAINST THE MOTION debate was won by *PARAS of X B*. *RINKI of IX B* was declared the *BEST INTERJECTOR*
ORIGAMI COMPETITION
❄🌈🌺💠🌻Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. 🌌❄⭐🔆It literally translates as ori (folding) gami (paper). In Japan, Children learn origami at their mothers' knees. In the West, children are learning it at school. Research has shown that paper-folding, particularly in the elementary school years, is a unique and valuable addition to the curriculum. Origami is not only fun, but it is also a valuable method for developing vital skills.Keeping all this in mind an Origami Activity was held in Pre Primary classes. children learnt to make many things and they enjoyed a lot🏵🇮🇳
NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
A Special Assembly was conducted to celebrate National Sports Day to mark the birth anniversary of MAJOR DHAYAN CHAND 🏑🏹⚽🏓🏑 and Fit India Movement @ HCS . The importance of sports in school life can never be underestimated. Sports help students learn essential life skills, and helps build positive self-esteem. Students explained the importance of different sports in a students' life, like participating in sports can be a helpful way of reducing stress, improving physical and mental well-being, as well as managing conflict and getting an outlet for excess energy. A street play , quiz , P T session and a skit was presented beautifully by the students and sports dept.
ART & PERFORMING ART DEPT. ASSEMBLY
"Art is something that makes you breathe With a different kind of happiness." To develop the creative skills among the students, A special assembly was conducted by Art and Craft Department on 31st July 2019 at Happy Child School. Anupriya and Tanisha handled the stage telling everyone importance of art and craft. Sadhna in her speech🎤🎤🎤 made everyone familiar about some famous artists. Sidhi and Heena made a chandelier on the spot which was appreciated by all. Anupriya made colourful pots and told the creative ways to decorate pots at home and how to make the things out of waste material. Dhruv ,Harsh,Rahul and Nitin made the atmosphere musical by playing drums🥁🥁🥁🥁 and synthesizer🎹🎹🎹🎹. The Principal & the Director of the school appreciated the participants. Overall it was an outstanding show with creativity.

" Maths Quiz challenges students to use their math skills in new and creative ways. It also provides a challenging and engaging mathematical experience [that] is both competitive and educational.🔴🔺️⚀⚄ As a part of extended learning ,Maths Quiz✔❌➗➖➕ was conducted in the school for III to V Graders. ARYABHATA , PYTHAGORAS and RAMANUJAM were the three teams.The quiz was divided into four rounds Mental Maths, Visual Numeric Calculations, Current Affairs and Identification of Mathematicians. Students participated with enthusiasm and zeal and tried their level best to win the quiz. Pythagoreans were the winners of the quiz .It was a great learning experience for the students. ❎❌✔➗➖
JANAMSHTMI
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at HCS with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bell✨💫⭐ filled the air. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India, it signifies excitement, euphoria💃 and a joyous spirit of enthrallment. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, The School took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. The students dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. School , in a special assembly conducted to celebrate World Nature Conservation Day. It was as informative assembly that was conducted with an objective of educating students about the importance and value of natural resources; its objective was also to bring out the dire need of preserving the natural resources (water💧, trees🌳, plants🌱, etc.) and using them wisely so that they are available for the future generations as well. VISIT TO PARLIAMENT HOUSE

On 3rd january.2019 students from classes IX- XII got an opportunity to visit the PARLIAMENT HOUSE along with the PARLIAMENT MUSEUM. The initiative focused on deepening the students understanding of government process . The spine-chilling winter morning was turned out to be a glamorous one with the excitement among the students. They couldn't wait to catch a glimpse of their famous representatives , orating in the devouring Rajya Sabha . The Rajya Sabha hall was wood paneled and adorned with the signs of the princely states in British India. 🍓"Good health and positive thinking are two of life's greatest blessings."🍉 🏢Happy Child Senior Secondary School conducted a special assembly on 24th April on the theme 🥚'Health is Wealth'🍑. Learning the importance of 🧘♀exercise and to eat healthy food. The students of grade 6th were encouraged to undertake the activities. Different activities like poems, speeches, G.K questions were asked from the students. They were informed about the philosophy "Prevention is better than Cure" and healthy mind dwells in healthy body. The Principal and the Director persuaded the children to maintain cleanliness in the surrounding. They were asked to drink maximum water in order to avoid dehydration🚰🚰🚰🚰🚰🚰 and eat healthy food🍎🍎🍎🍎. LABOUR DAY
Labour Day Special Assembly Monday, May 1st- LABOUR DAY ASSEMBLY-The International Workers’ Day, also called as Labour Day, was celebrated at the school with full zeal. The function started with a Special Assembly by Class Middle school students. The students highlighted the historical events that contributed to the emergence of labour rights and the significance of the day in the present time. After the presentation by the students, the management congratulated the workers and thanked them for their selfless services. The Principal also felicitated forty eight workers🎁🎁 of the school for commendable service. In her address, the Principal acknowledged the contributions of the work force of the school ,and lauded their ceaseless efforts for the welfare of the students.
Red Cross Day
"You don't have to be a doctor to save lives, Just donate blood, it's safe, simple and it saves lives." To tell the students about importance of blood donation, Happy Child School celebrated Red Cross Day in the school. XI class students actively participated in this and told the students about use of first aid🤕🤕🤕. The students were informed about fundamental principles like humanity, unity, independence and volunteer services. Mr. Sanjeet shared his experience regarding the camp attended in Hindu Vidyapeeth School. The Principal was honoured with shield sent by ⛑⛑⛑⛑Red Cross Society. The Director motivated the students to donate blood at least once in a life for our brave soldiers.
Inter House Street Play Competition

Ms. Swati inspired the students of grade 2-8 by her informative 3D model of Digestive system and an📟 animated movie highlighting the details about helpful 🦠Bacteria and Probiotics🧬 etc. YAKULT ,a delicious probiotic fermented milk🍼 was distributed amongst the students. English Language and Literature Quiz
‘An earnest endeavor to enhance the prevailing quality of English as a discipline, among the students’ An Inter House English Quiz (Language and Literature), was conducted in the School’s MPH. All the four houses were represented by five participants each. The Quiz Mistress was the English faculty member, Ms. Kumud Verma. The competition commenced with questions related to English Grammar and Literature; the second round was ‘Visual Clippings’ which challenged the students to identify the world renowned Poet and Dramatist, William Shakespeare’s works. As a standard practice, the final round was ‘Rapid Fire’ which was a mixed bag packed with diversified questions, covering wide range of language, renowned Authors, Poets, Novelists, Idioms and all other aspects of the subject, to evolve a positive response from the competitors.
